Just like the food we eat and the clothes we wear, the way we think can affect how we feel. We can be so wrapped up in the thoughts of the day and the next moment that we don’t even realize that we are still here. As we spend more time in the world, we can forget that the world is out there and we are only one step away from it.
In my experience, it takes a lot of self-awareness to even recognize that we are still here. When I am not so preoccupied with the thoughts of the day or the next moment, I can find myself sitting alone in a darkened room.
We all have things that we like that we arent really aware of. When we are distracted, we can find ourselves alone in a darkened room or in a dark room. I have friends who I think are really good friends just because I dont really think about them all of the time. I think I can be that friend for them though.
I know the same thing happens to me when I am alone in my own house. It is like I am just a ghost, and I don’t even know how I got here. It makes me think that maybe I am just not really aware of being here. Maybe I just have something better to do.
It happens to the best of us. When we’re not paying attention, we end up wandering around in the dark like a sloth. The reason for this is that our brains are designed to help our brains stay awake, and they seem to do it better if they are in dark places. So our minds are designed to help us find the places we are not. The problem is when our minds are in the dark, they lose the ability to keep track of where we are.
In the past, going to bed or getting ready for bed was a little more difficult than it is today. In the early days of the human race, people were able to go to sleep with their eyes shut and were able to fall asleep without even having to think about it. That’s not the case anymore. To go to bed, people used to just shut their eyes and go to sleep.
Our modern culture has grown up with technology and computers and gadgets that are just now becoming as prevalent as their ancestors were. The problem is that our minds are no longer able to keep track of where we are in space (or time) and so we lose any ability to get back in the moment. If we forget to wake up, our bodies go back to sleep. If we don’t, the body goes back to being awake.
