This is a photo of my husband and I when one of our kids was a toddler. The first day our son, who was about 6 months old, was born we moved in with our parents. We had a dog and a cat, and a cat-nose was not a good combination.

The cat-nose was a big problem because everyone else was allergic to cats, but our son could be allergic to cats, too. We were not going to be able to have him as a dog-nose because of the cat allergy, so we had to find a way to keep him from being all dog-nose. One day I was sitting on the stairs with the dog, and I asked the dog to sniff me to see if I was a dog.
